2009 |
|
2009 was a challenging season for the Pittsford Rugby Club. A restructuring of the New York State high school rugby conference had the Legionnaires playing against the top teams from the Rochester and Buffalo area. The team made definite strides during the season, but failed to record a league win and finished with a record of 2-6. The struggles faced during the 2009 season proved to be valuable lessons for the young club and the expected return of numerous seasoned veterans bodes well for the Legionnaires in 2010. |

| 2008 was an exciting season for the Pittsford Rugby Club. Pittsford once again had teams competing at both the division one and division two level in the New York State Rugby Conference. The DI team finished the season with a 3-3 record and the DII squad finished with a record of 1-4. Both sides showed improvement from the previous year as the team began to come into its own. A highlight of the season was the division one team qualifying for the New England Rugby Union (NRU) tournament held at West Point, NY in May. The team competed over two days and finished fourth in their division, facing the best high school rugby teams in the New England region.
